My name is Julie MacKenzie.  I hold a B.S. in Journalism from Boston University and have been an editorial professional for over 20 years, including ten years as a copy editor at a major legal publisher.  I am an avid reader of mysteries, thrillers, fantasy, and science fiction.  My Kindle overflows with the work of dozens of independent authors.

I don’t believe in slavish adherence to any particular style guide, but of course I have Chicago on hand, and I use Merriam-Webster online as a resource. I will ensure your styling — hyphens, word compounding, capitalization, etc. — is consistent across the manuscript.  If you have a favorite style guide, I’ll happily accommodate you.
